Walls reconnected, not rebuilt
HelicalBar™ T316 is a marine-grade stainless steel remedial wall tie designed to reconnect leaning or bowing cavity walls. 8mm diameter, triple-blade design, dry fixed through 5mm pilot holes at 600mm centres. It's the technology behind Buildfix's remedial wall ties solution. The ties drill through the outer leaf, across the cavity, and anchor into the inner leaf — pulling the wall back into a connected, stable structure.
Clay bricks absorb water and expand over time. The external wall gets far more rain than the internal wall, so the two leaves expand at different rates. That difference snaps the original wall ties. Once the ties fail, the external wall detaches and starts to lean. Paint lines opening around windows are a telltale clue. HelicalBar™ T316 replaces those failed ties with marine-grade steel that won’t corrode again.
