Our Technology

DampBlock™ AQ50

Aqueous-based DPC injection resin that creates a permanent damp proof course inside your walls — without removing a single brick.

The resin that stops rising damp for good

DampBlock™ AQ50 is Buildfix's DPC injection system — an aqueous emulsion enriched with multifunctional siloxanes, injected directly into the centre of the brick to create a permanent new damp proof course inside the wall. It's the technology behind Buildfix's damp proofing and salt damp repair solutions. Not just the mortar joint — the whole brick is treated. No bricks removed. No major disruption. Done in a single day.

Not a petrochemical solvent like the older chemical DPCs. DampBlock™ AQ50 is completely odourless, non-toxic, and non-flammable — zero VOC, zero ODP, zero GWP. The resin is injected at close intervals into the centre of each brick, spreads through the masonry’s natural capillaries, and cures to form an impermeable barrier. Moisture from the ground can no longer rise. Salt crystallisation stops. Walls begin to dry out naturally.

Siloxane Emulsion

Material

In plain English: a silicone-based resin carried in water. Injected into the centre of each brick — not the mortar joint — so the entire brick becomes damp proof. It cures to form a permanent moisture barrier inside the masonry. No petrochemical solvents. No toxic fumes.

Rising damp blocked.
Guaranteed to last.

What makes DampBlock™ AQ50 different from older chemical DPCs.

DampBlock™ AQ50 is injected through small holes in the mortar and spreads through the masonry’s capillaries under mechanical pressure. It cures into a solid, permanent DPC — not a chemical coating that degrades over time. No digging, no wall cutting. Done in a single day.
