What is concrete releveling?
Concrete releveling is the process of lifting and releveling sunken concrete slabs that rest on the ground.
The slabs could be the floors inside your home, your garage or workspace. The slabs can also be in external environments such as your pool area, driveway and walkways in your garden.
Concrete releveling is also sometimes referred to as slab jacking.
Why is concrete releveling essential inside my home?
If the large concrete slabs that make up the floor of your home’s interior are sinking, this could also mean your building’s structure is sinking too.
This movement means pressure is being placed on your home from the foundations and up. This pressure can cause all kinds of structural problems within your home including wall cracks, ceiling and cornice cracks, jamming windows, jamming doors, leaning walls, sloping floors and much more.
Concrete releveling is absolutely essential to stopping these kinds of structural problems from occurring.
Why is concrete releveling essential outside my home?
When outdoor concrete slabs, such as those that make up driveways or pools, sink, it suggests underlying issues.
Such sinking can lead to drainage breakages, underground services damage, safety hazards, and tarnish the aesthetics of your home.
Concrete releveling is key, ensuring a safe, functional, and visually pleasing outdoor space.
The most common concrete releveling solutions on the market
Demolition and replacement
Commonly known as break and replace, this method involves the disruptive process of removing and constructing new concrete slabs. Despite the high effort and cost, it fails to rectify the issue of weak soils below ground.
Concrete underpinning
Concrete underpinning isn’t a method often used to relevel concrete slabs due to its high costs and disruption, but some builders still recommend it. With the assistance of heavy hydraulic jacks, it is effective at stopping slabs from sinking further.
Cement grout injection
The method of cement grout injects cement into the ground under your concrete slabs. The grout fills large voids to stop further sinking of the slabs. This method can be effective at treating subsidence but has limited ability to lift sunken concrete slabs.
Our concrete releveling solution
GeoPoly™ is our very own geo-polymer resin concrete releveling solution. It’s the most advanced solution on the market and absolutely perfect for raising and releveling concrete slabs.
By injecting GeoPoly™ into the ground underneath your concrete slabs, we can raise their levels while simultaneously stabilising the foundation soil on which the slabs sit.
GeoPoly™ works through chemical expansion pressure which is completely controllable and safe. Access underneath only requires a small 1cm drill hole, which ensures minimal disruption to the surface.
If your floor, pool or driveway is sinking, we can stabilise and raise it with minimal disruption
