Our Damp Proofing Solution

We’ll eliminate the damp. For good.

A lot of damp proofing solutions include the destruction of your walls and floors to install new damp proofing membranes or new ventilation systems. These techniques may kick you out of your home for weeks while repairs are carried out. From our point of view, these old-school techniques are invasive, disruptive, destructive and far too expensive. We don’t use any of these obsolete techniques.

Instead, our highly qualified and fully licensed team of technicians and engineers use modern, progressive techniques. Our damp proofing solutions will stop masonry from sucking up water – without costing you an arm and leg. Or even needing you to leave your house.

Damp Proofing

Damp Proofing Single or Double Brick Solid Walls

To stop the damaging effects of rising damp, we inject DampBlock™, our proprietary solvent or silicon based solutions into your masonry walls. DampBlock™ blocks your masonry’s capillaries and stops them from sucking up any more water and destructive salts. We begin the damp proofing process by drilling 10mm wide pilot holes that are 40mm deep, every 100mm into your masonry. Using lances, we inject DampBlock™ into the masonry until it’s treated. DampBlock™ will begin setting instantly.

Our injection points are usually no higher than 150mm above ground level. If your walls are double brick, we’ll inject DampBlock™ into each brick at the header course closest to the ground level. DampBlock™ cures and becomes invisible within 24 hours and will protect your masonry walls from moisture for more than 20 years. All pilot holes are then simply filled with mortar similar to that of the existing surface.

Damp Proofing Cavity Walls

If getting to both leaves of brickwork is restricted, we can treat both of them from one side. In a situation like this, we begin the damp proofing process by treating the outer leaf by drilling 10mm wide pilot holes 40mm deep, every 100mm apart. Afterwards, we use lances to inject the masonry with DampBlock™ until it’s treated.

After treating the outer leaf, we use the existing 10mm wide pilot holes to get to the inner leaf. We drill 40mm into the inner leaf and again, we inject DampBlock™. DampBlock™ cures and becomes invisible within 24 hours to protect your brickwork from moisture for the next 20 years and beyond. All pilot holes are then simply filled with mortar similar to that of the existing surface.
